It seems like nothing is out of technology’s reach — including romance. Around the world, 41% of online singles have used dating apps or sites within the past month. That number is expected to increase on a global scale.

But how do people feel about online dating and the dating app culture? Which apps do people like to talk about? What do Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge fans like and how can companies leverage customer intelligence to boost brand visibility and usage?

To get some answers, we used (1) our customer intelligence platform and (2) our audience analysis tool, Profiler, to uncover and organize data into graphs, charts, and telling visuals.

Our report found insightful customer intelligence, like the facts that:
  • 59% of online conversations about dating apps are positive, while 41% are negative
  • The age demographic talking about Bumble is skewed toward 25 to 34-year-olds and consists of more females than males
  • Tinder fans love basketball and especially love Kyrie Irving, the New York Knicks, the Boston Celtics, and the Cleveland Cavaliers
